Tomatoes
Nutrition Information
Tomatoes are a source of vitamin C and the highest food source of lycopene,
a powerful antioxidant that tends to collect in certain organs of the body
including the prostate and lungs. Lycopene is being studied for its
potential role in preventing many cancers including prostate, breast and
cervix cancer. New research also shows that lycopene may lower the risk of
heart disease and possibly even osteoporosis.
