Radishes
Nutrition Information
Radishes are source of vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid. Vitamin C is
needed for growth, development and repair of all tissues in the body and it
is an antioxidant that can protect against damage caused by harmful free
radicals, toxic chemicals and pollutants. If free radicals build up they can
play a role in the development of cancer, heart disease, and arthritis.
Because vitamin C is not stored in the body, it must be continuously
supplied in the diet to maintain healthy levels. Radishes are a spicy way to
up your intake of this powerful nutrient!
