All lettuce is low in kilojoules and fat. The darker green leaves on the outside of lettuce contain more nutrients than the inner leaves, so try to save as many of the outer leaves as possible. By varying the greens in your salad, you can enhance the nutritional content, as well as vary the tastes and textures.
